Caps that do the work for you.
CapTool Active is the next chapter of the platform. Battery-powered caps that pump, mist, and time on their own. Bring your own bottle. Bring your own liquid. The cap does the rest.
The first three
What’s in development.
Three caps anchor the launch of the Active line. Each one targets a category where the customer already pays for refills they wish they didn’t need.
Outdoor · Bugs
CapBuzz Active
A timed micro-pump fogs a fine mist on a programmable interval. Pair with the repellent of your choice. The cap is the durable. The liquid is yours.
Home · Air
CapScent Active
Programmable atomizer for essential oils or room scent. No plug-in. No proprietary refill. Use the bottle you already have and the oils you already like.
Cooling · Plants
CapMist Active
On-demand fine-mist spray for plants, cooling, pet coats, and dust suppression. Press once for a burst. Hold for continuous mist. Walk away.
Two lines, one platform
Passive caps. Active caps. Same bottle.
CapTool started with silicone caps that shape what the bottle does. Active extends the platform with caps that act on their own. Both fit the same 28mm thread.
The silicone line
You squeeze. The cap shapes.
- No battery. No electronics. No wear-out.
- Dishwasher safe. Food-contact silicone.
- Lower price band. Most caps under $20.
- In stock now. Rinse, Peg, Trap, Mist, and more.
The Active line
The cap does the work.
- Battery powered. Coin cell or rechargeable, by SKU.
- Pump or atomizer. Controlled dispense, on demand or on a timer.
- Higher price band. Reflects the components.
- In development. Notify list open below.
The thesis
Replace the refill, not the routine.
Buy the cap once
One durable cap. Battery, pump, timer, housing. Built to last across many bottles.
Bring your own liquid
The repellent, oil, or water you already choose. No proprietary refill cartridges. No subscription you forgot to cancel.
Use the bottle you have
Many common 28mm plastic beverage bottles fit. The bottle is the reservoir. When it’s empty, refill or recycle.

Common questions
What people ask about Active.
How is CapTool Active different from the silicone caps?
CapTool Active caps contain a small battery, a micro-pump or atomizer, and a timer. The silicone caps are passive: you squeeze, twist, or invert the bottle and the cap shapes the result. Active caps do the work for you on a schedule or on demand. Both fit the same 28mm bottle thread.
What goes in the bottle?
Whatever you choose, within the safety limits of the cap. We sell the device. You supply the liquid. For CapBuzz Active that might be an EPA-registered repellent. For CapScent Active, an essential oil blend or commercial room scent. The cap does not endorse a specific liquid and is not pre-filled.
When will CapTool Active ship?
Active caps are in concept and prototype. They require electronics compliance testing, battery safety certification, and additional supplier work that the silicone line does not. Join the notify list and we will email when each cap is ready.
What batteries do they use?
Final battery format is part of the prototype work. Where possible we target user-replaceable coin cells. Rechargeable variants are under evaluation for caps that require higher duty cycles. Shipping rules and supplier path differ between the two.
Does CapBuzz Active kill mosquitoes?
CapBuzz Active is the dispensing device. It does not contain a repellent. Any mosquito-related claim depends on the EPA-registered liquid you choose to put in the bottle. We sell the cap, not the pesticide.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
Same safety posture as the rest of the catalog. Final use guidance ships with each product. Small parts and batteries require adult supervision. Final labeling and any age recommendation is set during certification, not before.
